Le nomination agli Emmy Awards 2025 raccontano un panorama televisivo sempre più competitivo, dove le piattaforme di streaming rafforzano la loro egemonia e si contendono lo scettro della qualità seriale. La cerimonia, attesissima e ormai punto fermo dell’autunno televisivo americano, andrà in scena domenica 14 settembre al Peacock Theater di Los Angeles e sarà trasmessa in diretta nella notte italiana su Sky Atlantic e in streaming su NOW.
AppleTV+ emerge come grande protagonista con un totale di 50 candidature divise tra due dei suoi titoli di punta: Scissione, che conquista ben 27 nomination grazie alla sua raffinata distopia narrativa e all’eleganza della messa in scena, e The Studio, drama metacinematografico che colleziona 23 candidature confermando la vocazione autoriale della piattaforma. Anche Sky si difende con forza: The Penguin, spin-off dell’universo di Gotham con Colin Farrell, incassa 24 nomination e si impone come una delle serie più apprezzate dell’anno, mentre The White Lotus conferma la sua longevità creativa con 23 nomination, premiando ancora una volta la sua capacità di rinnovarsi a ogni stagione.
Tra gli altri titoli che hanno lasciato il segno figurano The Last of Us (16 nomination), che continua a ridefinire il rapporto tra videogiochi e serialità, Andor (14), apprezzato per il suo sguardo adulto sull’universo di Star Wars, e Hacks (14), che unisce ironia e malinconia in un ritratto caustico del mondo dello spettacolo. A sorpresa si impongono anche Adolescence, The Bear e The Pitt, tutte a quota 13 candidature: tre serie molto diverse per tono e ambientazione, ma accomunate da una forte impronta autoriale e una scrittura solida.
